Spring into action this May with a range of new and exciting sports and healthy lifestyle activities designed for visually impaired people of all abilities and fitness levels!

Self defence classes

This spring sees the laucnh of new kirate and self defence classes that will help you feel more confident and improve your fitness at the same time.

Our four taster sessions provide an introduction to the self defence elements of Tai Chi, Kirate and Judo and all sessions will be led by Malcolm Hewitson who is a qualified instructor.

Sessions in May take place at the Middle Street Resource Centre, Beeston, which is on a direct bus and tram route from Nottingham city centre.

Sit & Get Fit!

June will see the launch of gentle chair-based exercise classes for those who want a gentrle introduction to exercise.

Although the chair is the focal piece of equipment for this gentle workout, those wo want can progress to using simple resistance bands to improve strength. All classes are facilitated by a qualified instructor who will tailor the exercises to meet your individual needs.

Classes take place at the Middle Street Resource Centre, Beeston, which is easily accesible by bus and tram from Nottingham City Centre.

Chair-based exercise classes will run from 11-am until 12pm and cost £3 per session and will take place on the following dates:

Walking for health

The summer will also see the launch of our new walks for health, which offer gentle walkie talkie sessions in a sociable setting, with most walks aiming to end at a cafe or pub.

Fully trained sighted guides will be on hanc to ensure you get the most from your walk and all walks will take place in local parkrs or along gentle walking trails, offering a great opportunities for you to enjoy the great ourdoors this summer.
