My Sight Nottinghamshire is a local charity which promotes greater independence for visually impaired people of all ages throughout the county by providing practical support, advice, information, training and adapted leisure activities.
The charity is at the forefront of the local voluntary sector, providing services that empower visually impaired people to live more independently and achieve their true potential within their own community.
My Sight Nottinghamshire, formerly Nottinghamshire Royal Society for the Blind (NRSB), is the only charity dedicated exclusively to improving the lives of people living with sight loss in Nottinghamshire. We provide support services, leisure opportunities, information and advice to thousands of local visually impaired people and their families.
We believe that no one should have to face sight loss alone and unsupported and that is why we are determined to work towards a world in which blind and partially sighted people of all ages have access to the same opportunities as everyone else. We work with individuals to ensure they achieve their own unique goals and enjoy a full and independent life beyond sight loss.
We also campaign on a range of local issues affecting visually impaired people and promote awareness of eye health within the wider community because we want to make sure that no one has to experience avoidable sight loss.
We need your help to support Nottinghamshire’s blind and partially sighted people so to find out more about what you can do to improve the quality of life for someone living with sight loss in your local community click here – link to fundraising/volunteering pages.
