Fun Fit Friday!

This spring we are launching a range of exciting new healthy life style taster sessions from self defence classes to gentle chair based exercise and from walking for health walks with an emphasis on being socialble to free football coaching. 

Kirate and self defence classes

Join our self defence classes for visually impaired people and discover a more confident and healthier you!

All sessions are let by a qualified instructor from Genjitsutenki Kirate.

Our self defence taster sessions provide an introduction to elements of Tai Chi, kirate and judo.

All sessions take place at the Middle Street Resource Centre, Beeston every Friday from 28 April until 19 May 2017.

Sit and get fit chair based exercise

Join our gentle chair-based exercise classes for visually impaired people and get fit while you sit!

Although the chair is the focal piece of equipment for this gentle workout, those who want can progress to using simple resistance bands to improve strength.

All sessions are facilitated by a qualified instroctor who will trailor the exercises to suit your needs.

Classes take place at Middle Street Resource Centre, Beeston from 11am until 12pm every Friday from 9 to 30 June 2017.

Gym and Swim

Weekly Thursday Gym and Swim sessions take place at the University of Nottingham Jubilee and Beeston sites. The sessions are open to all regardless of experience or current fitness levels. Staff and volunteers are on hand to work with you to put together a fun and enjoyable programme that is sure to get you to your target goals. Rambling Club

Our rambling club is run by a group of dedicated and experienced volunteers. The club is always looking to attract more members, keen to experience the joys and benefits of rambling along some of the best walks available in the East Midlands. The volunteers offer support and guiding however a good level of fitness is required as the routes vary in distance and difficulty.  Appropriate clothing and footwear is essential for participating in the rambling.

The group meets every 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month.
