Rambling Group

Our rambling group meets on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month. The meeting point is the Nuthall Pub, Nottingham Road, Nuthall, Nottingham, NG8 6AX at 9.15am. All walks are supported by experienced sighted guides. Please note guide dogs are not permitted on these walks.

There is a charge of £4 each to cover transport and the guides.

9 March – Woodhouse Eaves – Bradgate Park – 7.5 miles – Easy

23 March – High Peak to Dethick Church – 7 miles – Moderate

13 April – Thorpe Station – Tissington – Fenny Bentley – 7 miles – Easy

27 April – Lea Mills – Dethick – Riber Village – Bow Wood – 7.5 miles – Moderate

11 May – Staunton Harold – Lount – National Forest – 7 miles – Easy

25 May – Kingston-on-Sour, Radcliffe-on-Soar, Thrumpton – 8 miles – Easy

9 June – Hartington – Pilsbury Castle – 7 miles – Moderate

22 June  – Around Willoughby-on-the-Wolds – 7.5 miles – Easy

PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE PROPERLY EQUIPPED ACCORDING TO WEATHER CONDITIONS, PARTICULARLY REGARDING APPROPRIATE FOOTWEAR. The Leader reserves the right to ask you not to take part if it is felt that the safety of others may be put at risk due to inappropriate equipment. Please also bring a change of footwear for the return journey.

Please bring your own tea/coffee for a morning break and also a picnic lunch.

Please be aware that our walks often involve stiles, difficult and muddy terrain and bring us into contact with farm livestock.

Walkie Talkie Wednesdays

Our Walkie Talkie’s take place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. Meeting places vary depending on whether we travel to the walk by bus or tram and meet at 10.30am.  All walks finish at a pub, cafe or restaurant for lunch. Please note guide dogs are permitted on these walks.
