Disability History Month starts today and runs until 16th Dec and as Nottingham’s oldest charity we’ll be celebrating our history with a look back in our archives. Did you know that we were founded by a woman who was herself visually impaired? Our founder, Mary Chambers set up the charity in 1843 and we’ve been supporting local people with sight loss for almost 180 years!
