Job Opportunities
Only one in four people with sight loss of working age are in employment. Many people also leave work unnecessarily due to sight loss. We aim to change this. We actively encourage people with a disability to apply for any roles at My Sight. Currently 50% of our front delivery service staff and 50% of our trustees have some form of visual impairment.
Disability Confident
We are pleased to be Disability Confident Employers. Disability Confident is ‘creating a movement of change, encouraging employers to think differently about disability and take action to improve how they recruit, retain and develop disabled people’.

RNIB Visibly Better Employer
In June 2023 we achieved the RNIB’s Visibly Better Employer standard. The RNIB aims to ‘increase the number of blind and partially sighted people applying for opportunities and for businesses to confidently retain existing staff who develop sight loss.’
