My name is Jeremy Mercer and I am a fully qualified counsellor living in Nottingham.

My training was completed at Regents University in London via a renowned organisation called Heartwood.

I have a long and happy association with My Sight Notts and it’s team. I am now in a position to offer professional counselling in partnership with My Sight Notts. Counselling can be delivered via telephone, Zoom chat or face to face at My Sight Notts. I do have an understanding of sight loss as I have had some specialist training in this area.

I can offer up to 12 sessions of counselling depending on people’s issues and challenges. I understand that many people have significant challenges with sight loss and my overall aim is to work positively with you.

My counselling approach is an integrated one – which means it draws from the traditions of Gestalt, Mindfulness based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and person centred. The talking therapies take in a range of issues affecting mind, body, spirit and emotions and places an emphasis on the whole person.

My aim is to help you find your ‘own solutions and pathways’ so that you leave counselling feeling stronger, happier, more independent and in a position to live your life more fully.

You will find me a warm, accessible and accepting person with a gentle sense of humour and a positive attitude towards others and life itself.

Please contact via My Sight Notts on the details above. Alternatively, you can call me on 07498 312009 for an initial discussion.

My very best wishes
