Digital Accessibility

Our Digital Accessibility Group comprises a mix of My Sight Notts members, volunteers and staff. The aim of the group is to ensure digital content is accessible to people with sight loss.

The service is available to any organisation or business to check that their digital content (websites, software and apps) meets the requirements of those living with sight loss. We encourage businesses to engage with the group to see how they use screen-readers and other access technology including phones, tablets and computers, especially when going online.

Building and Literature Accessibility

Is your building accessible for people with sight loss? Would they be able to navigate around independently? We can come and assess your work spaces and give recommendations to help you become much more accessible for people with sight loss.

We look at navigation around the building, literature, signage, colour and contrast, lighting, staff awareness and digital solutions and will write a comprehensive report with our recommendations.

Costs

Local Charity Rate                                              £100 per hour

National Charity and Statutory Rate             £150 per hour

Private rate                                                          £200 per hour

(Rates available for half day and full day audits)

Building Accessibility

Local Charity rate                                          £700

National Charity and Statutory Rate         £850

Private rate                                                      £1000

Building accessibility rates include Sight Loss Awareness training for up to 15 staff members.
