‘Dress Bright for Sight’ Schools Campaign

My Sight Nottinghamshire launched their school’s ‘Dress Bright for Sight’ campaign on Monday, 28th April 2025. We are hoping to have as many schools as possible jump on board and help us raise awareness of the importance of eye health and possibly raise funds to help us continue our work.

There are two ways your school can get involved!

🎨 Poster Competition

Encourage your students to get creative! We’re running a poster competition during National Eye Health Week (22-28 September 2025) where students can design eye-catching posters about the importance of looking after our eyes. It’s a great way to combine health education with art. There will be prizes for the winning entries and a chance to be displayed at the Broadway Gallery in Nottingham City Centre on World Sight Day.

👕 Dress Bright for Sight Day

Celebrate World Sight Day on Thursday 9 October by holding a ‘Dress Bright for Sight’ day! Pupils and staff can wear their brightest clothes in return for a small donation. Funds raised will help My Sight Notts support more people experiencing sight loss across Nottinghamshire.

If your school would like to take part or you would like more information about eye health and sight loss awareness please contact us on 0115 9706806 or email joanneb@mysightnotts.org.uk – we’d love to have you involved!
