Annual General Meeting

Our President, Len Jackson OBE invites you to our Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2021-22

The AGM is your opportunity to find out about how My Sight Notts is moving forward after the pandemic and to hear our bold new vision for the future. It’s also a chance to catch up with friends over a cuppa!

You’ll have an opportunity to ask questions about the future of our services for local visually impaired people and to chat to trustees and staff.

This year we’re thrilled to welcome guest speaker Amanda Harris, whose book entitled She Will Never, details her struggles to achieve her goals because of other peoples attitude to her sight loss and how she overcame these challenges to become a successful author, Will Writer and business woman. Amanda is also working with us on our Legacy Giving Campaign, about which you’ll hear more after the formal AGM.

Date: Friday 4 November 2022

Time: Please arrive at 1:30pm for tea and coffee and to make sure you get a good seat.

The formal AGM will begin promptly at 2pm

Venue: 26-28 Heathcoat Street Nottingham, NG1 3AA

You can also observe the meeting remotely via Zoom call.

We are offering sighted guiding support to help you access the meeting.

To book your sighted guide from a transport hub in Nottingham city centre to Heathcoat Street, please contact us as soon as possible so we can organise sighted guiding for you.

To book your place at the meeting or to receive a Zoom link to observe it, please call Donna on 0115 9706 806. Donna will also be able to take details of any sighted guiding requests and we will get back in touch to confirm details.

Copies of our Annual Report and Summary Accounts will be available at the AGM and will be emailed or mailed to those attending via Zoom. Copies of our full accounts will be available on request.

We hope you will be able to take part!

Image shows Illustration from Amanda Harris’ book She Will Never shows a drawing of a smiling business woman sitting on an office chair with her feet up on the desk with a telephone in her hand. Her office looks quite plush, with a large meeting table and comfy sofa on one side and from the window you can see a power station
