My Sight Notts Charity Firewalk

Step out of your comfort zone and into the fire!
Join My Sight Notts on Friday 13th February 2026 at Nottingham Rugby Club for our Charity Firewalk and help raise vital funds to support people with sight loss across Nottinghamshire.
This isn’t just a Firewalk. Before stepping onto the embers you’ll take part in an inspiring training session, equipping you with practical tools, confidence and motivation that go far beyond the event itself. Learn how to overcome fear, set goals and unlock your inner strength – all while preparing for the ultimate firewalking challenge.
This is an inclusive event for people aged 16 plus. You need to be able to walk 5-6 paces unaided. (You can have a guide walk alongside you.)
Registration is £30 and we ask that you raise a minimum of £120 in sponsorship.
The first 15 participants will receive a free ticket to stay and watch the rugby – Nottingham vs Cambridge at 7.45pm. You can buy additional tickets for family and friends at a discounted rate.
5K My Way

Whether you walk, jog, run, roll or stroll, 5K My Way is your chance to move your way, have fun and make a difference for people living with sight loss across Nottinghamshire.
5K My Way is a fully inclusive event open to everyone – people living with sight loss, families, friends, corporate teams, wheelchair users, pushchair users and, of course, dogs are welcome too!
Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual stroller, or just looking for a great day out, you set the pace.
By taking part, you’ll be helping My Sight Notts provide life-changing support services and activities for people experiencing sight loss across the county. Every step you take helps someone live more independently, connect socially and thrive.
Registration
£15 per adult
£8 per child
£40 per family
Minimum sponsorship ask £50 per person. If you raise this amount you will receive a free water bottle!
Skydive for My Sight Notts!
Calling all thrill seekers! Are you ready for the ultimate challenge?
There’s no experience like jumping out of a plane at 14,000 feet and soaring through the sky at speeds of up to 125mph! Why not take on the thrill of a lifetime and raise money for My Sight Notts at the same time?
We can help you organise a skydive. It’s easy to sign up. Just get in touch and we will send you your unique booking link.
It costs £70 to register for your skydive, payable at the time of booking, and you will need to raise a minimum of £395 to jump for free. We will help you set up a JustGiving page to raise your sponsorship money.
You can choose from a whole range of airfields across the country – the nearest one to Nottingham is Langar Airfield, NG13 9HY. Langar Airfield is open 7 days a week through the year (weather permitting).

This is a firm favourite in the City’s running calendar. Starting in Market Square and finishing inside the grounds of Nottingham Castle.

Warwick Half Marathon
Sunday 1 February 2026
Warwick Racecourse, Hampton Street, Warwick, CV34 6HN
Minimum Age: 17
This half marathon takes in spectacular, scenic views of the Warwickshire countryside. The undulating course takes place on fully closed roads so is suitable for runners of all abilities.
Registration £20. Minimum Sponsorship £250.
Leicestershire Half Marathon

Charnwood College, Thorpe Hill, Loughborough, LE11 4SQ
Minimum Age: 17
This is a road closed half marathon taking place on a scenic route around town and country lanes. The course gives you the opportunity to take in the rural surroundings on traffic free roads.
Registration £15. Minimum Sponsorship £200.
Drayton Manor 5K and 10K
Sunday 12th April 2026
Minimum Age: 11
Run around the rides and rollercoasters inside the fantastic Drayton Manor resort, including the Accelerator, Stormforce 10, Thomas Land and the Zoo! Following the race, you will be first in line to make full use of the rides within the park with theme park access included in your race entry.

Victoria Embankment Recreation Ground
Minimum Age: 17
One of the most popular city centre road events in the UK. A picturesque route that starts and finishes at Victoria Embankment, and takes in the River Trent, Nottingham Castle, the Robin Hood Statue, The Park and Wollaton Park.
