Nottingham trams

Nottingham Trams (NET) has taken a number of steps to minimise the spread of #Coronavirus.

  • Increased cleaning schedule to ensure all surfaces are cleaned as often as possible
  • Sunday Timetable is now in operation, for more info call 0115 8246060.
  • Trams will now stop at every stop and open all doors so that customers do not have to come into contact with any of the buttons which would normally be used to request a stop and open the doors. Customers with sight loss are advised to listen to the announcements of the stop location and to be ready to alight the tram as it arrives into the platform. The driver will check all cameras and internal mirrors to ensure all customers have boarded and alighted. If a customer feels they will need more time to board or alight the tram, they can either advise customer services by using the help point located on the platform, or speak directly to the driver by using the onboard help points situated near to the doors. The platform help points are located next to tactile paving. If a customer thinks they may have difficulty understanding which side of the tram the doors will open, should again contact either customer services or the driver via the help points.
  • In order to maintain social distancing, the very front and back of each tram has been cordoned off. This is to ensure the safety of drivers. All customers with sight loss are advised to use the centre of the platform when using the tram. This will ensure they board at the middle doors of the tram and not the single doors towards the front and back of the tram customer services team at info@thetram.net or by calling 0115 8246060.
