Students learn lessons in art
We had great fun with 2nd year students at NTU who joined visually impaired artists at our art workshop at Heathcoat Street!
Challenges students to create interactive art
The Textiles Live Project challenge second year students to produce either interactive artworks and soft furnishings for our Heathcoat Street hub, or interactive books and toys for children who are visually impaired, or interactive exhibition pieces to teach sighted people about visual impairment.
Students benefited from sight loss awareness training
We provided sight loss awareness training to the students in November, followed by an initial workshop where students worked with visually impaired artists to gain an insight into visual impairment and tactile materials.
Earlier this week students shared their ideas with our artists to get feedback to help them develop their final pieces.
