Suspension of services

As you are probably aware, the government has issued new advice to help combat the spread of Covid-19 (Coronavirus), saying: “now is the time for everyone to stop non-essential contact with others and to stop all unnecessary travel.”

Your health is our priority

The health and safety of the visually impaired people we support and of our staff and volunteers is of paramount importance to My Sight Notts. That’s why we have taken the decision to suspend all services that require direct contact with other people with immediate effect.

Alternative Telephone and online support

We are, of course very much aware that our services are important to many local people with sight loss, especially for those who are already lonely and isolated. We will therefore be making regular telephone contact with you over the coming weeks; to make sure you’re OK, to offer a friendly listening ear or even just for a friendly chat. We will also be looking at other ways of offering support over the telephone and online, which we will keep you updated on.

We will monitor the latest advice

Over the weeks ahead, we will continue to monitor the latest advice from the government and from Public Health England and keep the decision to suspend services under constant review. We will contact you again if there are further changes.

We’ll be contacting  you by phone to make sure you’re OK

These are difficult times for all of us, but please try not to worry, will be in touch by telephone over the next few weeks to make sure you’re OK. Don’t forget you can also contact us for advice about your sight loss over the telephone anytime Monday-Friday, 9:30am – 4:00pm on 0115 9706806.
