Can you support a visually impaired person living in your local area to get more out of life?
We’re searching for new My Guide volunteers in your area to support a visually impaired person to get out and about, enjoy social or leisure activities or meet up for a chat and a coffee.
The role
Our My Guide befrienders help to reduce the isolation and loneliness often experienced by people with sight loss.
As a volunteer you’ll find fulfilment in building this respectful and caring relationship.
You will be required to provide two references, have an enhanced DBS check and be trained by My Sight Notts to Level 2 Sighted Guiding developed by Guide Dogs UK.

Can you support a 56-year-old man with sight loss living in Walesby? He needs your help to have a walk around local shops, attend some local groups and just have a cuppa and a chat on a regular basis.
North Notts lady looking for support
Are you in North Nottinghamshire, We are looking for a female volunteer to support an 88-year-old woman to attend local groups, go out on a few gentle walks and have a cuppa and a chat on a regular basis?
Lambley lady needs your support
Could you support an elderly lady in Lambley with sight loss to go for a regular coffee and chat, perhaps a trip to the local garden centre once a week?
Can you help an 82-year old lady cross a busy road in Netherfield?
